(Peterborough, ON) — On Wednesday, September 18th the PMLA hosted their Annual Awards Banquet at TAS Secondary School. The evening was a celebration of the many successes for our Rep teams in the 2019 Lacrosse season, as well as an opportunity to present of several individual awards to many worthy players, coaches and volunteers from the organization. The organization was proud to have some special guests on stage to help present the awards including NCAA Division 1 Lacrosse Champion Erica Evans, as well as a few members of the Peterborough Sr. Lakers, who brought along their recently reclaimed Mann Cup! Below is the full description of the award winners given out this evening:
JOHN GRANT SR. - MVP FIELD LACROSSE
Presented to a player who demonstrates a high level of proficiency in skills specific to the field game.

This award is given annually to a PMLA rep goalie who exemplifies the dedication, enthusiasm and pure love of the game as given to us by Harold and David James.

The Chris Fee award is given annually to a player in the Peewee division that plays the game of lacrosse with incredible passion and skill as well as being well respected by his teammates and opponents.

JAY LOUCKS MEMORIAL AWARD
The PMLA presents this award annually to an intermediate player who most exemplifies the character of Jay Loucks and his love for the game of lacrosse.

Jay Loucks Memorial Scholarship Award: Mitchell Ogilvie
JAMES JOHNSTON MEMORIAL AWARD
This Memorial Award is given to a player who most exemplifies the character of James Johnston, tragically taken from us in 1993. This player consistently demonstrates strong leadership and skilled competitive play.
