The PMLA will be using the " TIN" (Tryout Identification Number) system to release players this season.

This year player releases will be communicated online for all rounds of selections.

All players will receive a confidential Tryout ID number‎ at the FIRST tryout that will be used to identify release status online.  Please keep your TIN # private and in your possession.

The cost will be approximately  $250, plus a team budget to cover ref and timekeeper fees.  These fees would be collected after your child makes the team.

The PMLA is excited to share our new fan wear tees. It's time for a change and we wanted to elevate our image throughout the lacrosse world. We teamed up with Pioneer Inc., a local branding and design agency owned and operated by Kyle McDonald, to bring a new logo and identity to life to raise our brand to the level of quality we represent on and off the floor!

We have launched a limited run of fan tees available for purchase.

Email to purchase your NEW PMLA FAN WEAR & show your support for your Ptbo Lakers.

    YOUTH SIZES: XS-L $20      ADULT SIZES: S-XL $25

Unfortunately the feedback we received has resulted in the PMLA having to cancel the U15 and U17 House League programs this year.  Full refunds will be issued to all players by the end of the month and will go back on the credit card that was used to make payment.

We hope that all players will find a way to keep their sticks active and consider a return to the PMLA in the future. Please check our website in early 2024 for updates on our Field and Box programs. We hope to be able to run programs in all divisions next year, so spread the word!

Peterborough lacrosse, 150 year tradition continues

This year the Peterborough lacrosse community is celebrating 150 years of the oldest and most successful sport in the city's history.

The game began here in 1872 with the first team the Red Stockings. Peterborough won its first championship five years later and since that time has won 29 senior and junior national championships and more than 150 provincial titles.

A local committee, headed by Tim Barrie, has been formed to celebrate the game’s anniversary with a big week of lacrosse being planned for the last week of June ending with the celebration of Canada’s birthday on July 1.

A logo, designed by former lacrosse player Jamie Plunkett of apparel company UncommonFit,  has been selected. The committee, made up of all local lacrosse organizations, is encouraging all businesses, fans, anyone who wants to join the celebrations to promote and celebrate  ‘the fastest game on two feet’.

More exciting news on the celebrations will follow in the weeks to come.

We offer programs for boys and girls age 3-21. Our goal is to foster a love of the game of lacrosse while building positive memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
